The best way to hunt on public lands is to do it for multiple days at a time. This will give you the chance to scout out a few different spots to try and kill yourself a deer in. Because these lands are full of other hunters, you will have a lot of competition to contend with. Just remember that your success will depend on your scouting abilities just as much as your shooting abilities. After all, you can’t shoot a deer that just isn’t there.
