The Arkansas brook in the state of Colorado offers some great whitewater rafting journeys. The best waterfall by a long way are found in the Royal Gorge section of the brook. This rafting trip is one of the top Colorado river rafting spots for all ages. The great sections of the Arkansas river offers fun for all abilities.
Credible rafting outfitters can put together packages which will accommodate amateurs as well as seasoned whitewater rafters. Whatever trip you select, satisfaction is always warranted by these corporations. They work hard to make your trip one of the best things you have ever done!
Rafting through the Royal Gorge on the Arkansas river is something that can’t be missed. It’s easy to get to – only a 60 minutes drive from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Once you’re there and in your raft, you’ll be going thru some spectacular ravines. You’ll even pass under a suspension bridge above the gorge. Look up because the folks on the bridge will be cheering you on for sure! Most of them would love to be in the raft with you.
All safety precautions are taken before the raft ever leaves the shore. You’ll be given emergency instructions and issued a lifejacket and helmet to wear. This is critical because you’ll be paddling through some very untrustworthy Class III and Class IV whitewater falls. Instruction and safety advice is given to everybody, not just amateur rafters. Some companies will not permit kids younger than the age of 14 to go on their rafting trips. If you’re laying plans for a family holiday, check age wants first before arranging your trip.
Royal Gorge rafting is for adventuresome spirits who want to try something unique and different. Whitewater rafting gives an adrenalin rush that should be experienced at least once in an entire life. Booking a trip on the Arkansas river as it flows magnificently thru Colorado is a way to experience this’rush’. You may come back home with some very exciting tales to tell your friends!
